Ingredients

  • 1 large cauliflower head

    1 T. cornstarch

    1 T. water

    3 T. butter

    1 T. fresh lemon juice

    1 T. grated onion

    1 tsp. turmeric

    2 T. capers

    Salt and pepper to taste

  • Place cauliflower in boiling salted water.  Cover and cook for 15 min.  Drain, reserving 1 cup liquid. Cover with foil in a serving dish to keep warm.

    Dissolve cornstarch in 1 Tablespoon water, then blend into reserved cooking liquid, stirring constantly.  Add butter, lemon juice, onion, salt, pepper and turmeric.  Cook, stirring until sauce thickens. Remove from heat, stir in capers and pour over cauliflower. Garnish with fresh rosemary.

    *This recipe was surprisingly delicious and easy to prepare.
